Location: Atop Loma Prieta in the Santa Cruz Mountains about 12 miles northeast of Santa Cruz. Remote

Location: Slope of Everett Hill just southwest of Mount Shasta. 

Paths: Sugarloaf Mountain and Pythion

Notes: Typical repeater station constructed in the early 1960s.

MOUNT ADELAIDE

 

Mt. Adelaide

Type: Junction/Switched

Location: Atop Mount Adelaide about 15 miles east of Bakersfield.  Remote

Paths: Cameron, Bakersfield, Shirley Peak and Richgrove

Notes: All horns have been removed and tower now serves other radio users.

Location: Atop Mount Diablo about 10 miles southeast of Concord. Remote

Paths: Mount Vaca, Mount Oso, Walpert Ridge, Bernal Heights, East Bay Hills and Walnut Creek (Satellite earth station)

Notes: A major junction point for traffic coming out of the bay area going east/west.  Site has been demolished, there is nothing left.

Notes: Interesting tower design, with facilities underground.  Tower was designed to be attractive to surrounding residences.  Was also an L-3 cable junction between Gilroy and Oakland 03
